Before prohibition, a handful of families living in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky supplied most of the world with bourbon. They owned lavish mansions and lived a lifestyle that can only be compared to Gatsby. They were called the Whiskey Barons.

But when prohibition hit, the distilleries everything but vanished. As did their legacy. 100 years later, we interviewed and worked with the last living family members to literally reverse engineer the bourbon recipes.
